FARES
A custom tool for specific needs
In 2019, FARES was looking for ways to move away from a Microsoft Access database and give its staff a working tool better suited to the realities of their fieldwork. During the call for tenders, Yelido proposed a custom solution that was cheaper than the off-the-shelf solutions offered by our competitors. After several discussions, we started development, constantly checking back that the various features matched the team’s expectations. Two months later, the Tuber platform was born, usable from any computer with no installation. For more than five years now, Tuber has enabled FARES to manage tuberculosis cases in Wallonia and Brussels.
Features that fit and can evolve
This tool, intended for the operators who consult and complete medical records, and which makes it possible to quickly generate reports for the funding bodies, has evolved since then in line with new legislation, with the aim of continuously adapting its ergonomics and the information available.
Its main features are:
- Full audit trail of medical records
- Custom reporting on case follow-up
- A notification system for users
- Management of the tuberculosis register by year
- Centralisation of the documents related to a patient
A tool for administrative and medical data
The form contains all of the patient’s administrative data as well as information about the tuberculosis case or cases detected: location, treatments, follow-up, tests, etc. The register of all records by year was set up in TUBER to make completing a patient record easier and better. The exported data is then processed by the supervisory or funding bodies.
Like all our applications, it handles different types of users so that data is secured according to each person’s role. It also complies with GDPR standards for the protection of patients’ personal data.
The cloud, for non-profits too
As a non-profit organisation, FARES benefits from SOCIALware, a public digital programme that funds modern IT infrastructure. Yelido set it up in the Amazon cloud and has since been helping FARES reduce its costs.
