Automated scanning and sorting of mail
One fine day in 2025, a local Veolia manager came to see us to discuss a very specific problem: a week later, his site was going to receive mail from all of Veolia’s Belgian administrative sites (around thirty in total), and there was no technical solution or team in place at that time to handle this influx of mail at such short notice.
Within two days, we took the time to listen to the expectations and constraints associated with this situation, visited the site to see the equipment available, and made a proposal in terms of hardware and software. Within a week, we were able to develop a solution combining scanning, mail sorting with the addition of a QR code, reading of scanned PDF documents to understand their content, and automatic sorting of documents into folders on Veolia’s drive. The result for the client: no additional hiring, added functionality to connect to public e-boxes, and mail arriving at the right person on time!
